And just like that we have officially wrapped Empowered. It has taken 2 1/2 years with a one year pause due to the pandemic but in the end, even that somehow didn’t stop us achieving the impossible. Since the end of last year, we have been working on filming in India our sixth and final episode about a female pilot from India. It was a roller coaster ride simply trying to get the visas. And while my crew ended up never getting their visas, we had to shift our plan and coordinate with local crew to film. However, then the second wave hit India hard. Lockdowns and restrictions made it impossible now. With my visa lapsing at the end of the month of May, I had no other choice to take this trip on my own and film episode sixth jugaad style. Luckily, not only did I have the best and resourceful female pilot in front of the camera but she and a small group of kind and intelligent people built a fort around me to basically complete the most impossible mission of filming this episode in the eye of the storm — or currently also known as the hot spot of the pandemic. And while I can only hope that the hard work behind the camera will come through in this episode, I want everyone to know one thing: nothing is impossible. There will be those who are too afraid of risks, who will go so far to say that you are crazy of doing something, and doing anything to throw rocks in your way — but let that never stop you of accomplishing that what your heart knows you can achieve. And thus, my thanks goes to @pilot_annydivya for everything she has done to make this possible. We very much look forward to sharing you her episode as well as the whole series of Empowered which will premiere this winter. Dates coming soon.
